what is a centrifugal extractor fan
What is a centrifugal fan?
Centrifugal fan is a kind of driving fluid machinery that relies on mechanical energy input to increase gas pressure and transport gas side by side. Centrifugal fans are widely used in ventilation, dust removal and cooling of factories, mines, tunnels, cooling towers, vehicles, ships and buildings.
Ventilation of boilers and industrial furnaces; cooling and ventilation of air conditioners and household appliances; drying and selection of grains; air sources such as air ducts and hovercraft.
Working principle: According to the principle of converting kinetic energy into potential energy, centrifugal fans use high-speed rotating impellers to accelerate the gas, and then decelerate to change the direction of flow, thereby converting kinetic energy into potential energy (pressure). In a single-stage centrifugal fan, the gas enters the impeller in the axial direction, flows in the radial direction after passing the impeller, and then enters the diffuser.
In the diffuser, the gas will change the direction of flow, and the increase in the cross-sectional area of ??the pipe will slow down the flow of the gas, thereby converting kinetic energy into pressure energy. The pressure increase mainly occurs in the impeller, followed by the expansion process. In a multi-stage centrifugal fan, the air flow enters the next impeller through the return device, thereby generating high pressure.
Function: The working principle of a centrifugal fan is basically the same as that of a turbo compressor. Because the gas flow is small and the pressure change is small, there is generally no need to consider the change in the specific volume of the gas, that is, the gas is regarded as an incompressible fluid. Centrifugal fans can be divided into two categories: left and right. The end face on the side of the motor: the impeller rotates clockwise and is called a right-hand fan; the impeller rotates counterclockwise and is called a left-hand fan.
